| June 6, 2009 Nebraska Orphan Train Reunion Madison County Museum Platte County Historical Society Museum 118 W 3rd 2916 16th St. Madison, NE Columbus, NE The 2008 Nebraska Reunion was held April 26-27. Part of the Celebration was a writing contest for the local elementary schools. To compete in the contest, the students were asked to write a short narrative starting with "I woke up in the year 1854 and was told I would be riding a train from New York to Nebraska" Click here to view the 8 winners.
